When you ask ChatGPT something, it searches the web before it answers. But it doesn't search for what you typed - it rewrites your question first.
I asked for "best esignature tool for a small business." It searched:
"best esignature tools for small business 2026 reviews"

The AI picks the page that matches its search, not yours. So you can rank #1 for "best esignature tool" and still get skipped, because it went looking for "2026 reviews" and someone else owns that phrase.
So run it on your own brand a few times. You'll see the exact words ChatGPT uses when it looks you up - the years, the "reviews," the "best for."
Put those words where it'll find them: your titles, your URL slugs, your H2s, your first sentence. Near the top of the page, not the bottom.
That's it. You're just reading the AI's search terms and using them before it comes looking.
(Or skip the manual work and use Outrank!)
