See the exact words AI used to cite you

There's a free Microsoft report that shows you the exact phrases AI used to cite your site. Almost nobody opens it.
It's called AI Performance, inside Bing Webmaster Tools. Free, and you can import your site from Google Search Console in two clicks.
Open it and go to Grounding Queries: the actual phrases AI searched to pull your pages into an answer. Not the keywords you targeted - the words it really used.

They're rarely what you'd expect. AI cites you for questions you never wrote for, and pulls from an old blog post over your product page. Your homepage isn't even its favorite source about you.
You optimize one page. AI quotes a different one.
The fix: take a query you got cited for, open that page, and Ctrl+F the words. They're usually there - just vague and buried. Move a plain, direct answer to the top, in a heading. Then watch the next report.
Microsoft is handing you the words. You just have to open the report.
ChatGPT search and Copilot both run on Bing's index - so it's the closest free look at what ChatGPT sees about you.
Then comes the actual work: writing a clear answer for every one of those queries, and keeping them current. That's what we built Outrank for - answer-shaped pages, published straight to your CMS, so the page AI reaches for is yours. Start free: outrank.so
